I Retired from the Merchant Navy Approximately three years ago. as my wife and I have always loved dogs . I decided to get back into dogs first of all with German Shepherds but I found that the showing of GSD'S was a bit to strenuous for me so I added a second breed to my kennels the German Shorthaired Pointer.
Through friends I was put in touch with Gordon Haran & Marion Waddell whose help in choosing a puppy and helping me to get started on the show trail was invaluable. I entered local open or restricted shows to get into the swing of things before attempting champ shows. I now travel extensively all over Scotland and the north of England and even Belfast where I was lucky to be awarded a first in Post Graduate Bitch which enabled me to enter Crufts two years ago and although I did not progress far that year I did not give up and Qualified again for Crufts this Year (2006) This time I progressed a bit better and was awarded a First in Post graduate Bitch which really pleased me although I did not Progress any further.
Miska Has been Hip scored (7/3), Elbow Scored(0/0) and eye tested before having her litter. All our litters are inoculated and health checked before they leave my Kennels |
