Breeders of:

  • Labrador Retriever

My Labradors are first and foremost family pets. I am not a commercial breeder and believe that quality is much more important that quantity. We breed one or two litters a year and our pups get all the attention they deserve. They are lovingly reared in our family home.

I am a member of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme. My aim is to breed responsibly and to produce pups with the qualities that make them excellent pets, by combining the best characteristics of show and working labradors. Our dogs are health-tested for hips, elbows and eyes.

We have always had dogs at home. My mother used to breed Shetland Sheepdogs. I bought my first labrador in 2001 when I wanted a family pet that I could trust to grow up with my two young sons. Holly (Kenmillone Shubert) is an old lady now. She has an excellent temperament and adores children. She had one litter of pups in 2003 from which we kept Pepsi (Weardale Honesty), a beautiful gentle black bitch. We were heart-broken to lose Pepsi prematurely after a routine spay in 2010. She was the mother of Jess (Ravels Rambling Rose) who in turn is the mother of Charley (Hedleyhope Rambling Rose).
