The Olearia Kennel began in 1981 with an Adoram Bitch and a Panevors dog. Both worked well in Obedience but were not suitable for showing. Chesara Dark Francesca was the kennels first show bitch and produced a beautiful litter to Ch. Poirot Led Zeplin. Two puppies from this litter gained stud book numbers. The first one, Elkesley's Blitz and Pieces J.W., owned by Jean Roberts, also became a registered P.A.T. dog. The second one, Olearia's Harvey's Mean Machine J.W. gained 2 C.C's and sired Ch. Rottsann Soldier Blue at Olearia J.W.
The Olearia kennel has produced: Ch Olearia Salina, Ch Olearia Shooting Star J.W. Ch Olearia Blaze of Gold and Ch Olearia Golden Touch aswell as numerous ticket and reserve winners to include: Olearia Force Ten (2C.C.'s), Olearia Blaze of Glory (2C.C's), Olearia Moon Walker, Olearia Burning Desire of Tymestl, Olearia New Moon, Olearia Oneida of Tymestl, and Olearia Gold Dust at Tellkas.
Olearia is the proud owner of Ch.Fantasa White Gold, (Lucy), who was the bitch C.C. record holder for many years with 27 C.C.'s and Ch. Vormund Walk on Water at Olearia, our first Akita.
Virton Royal Venture of Olearia joined our kennel in 2004 gaining 3 R.C.C's and sireing our current show winners: Ch Olearia Blaze of Gold (Crufts Working Group Winner 2010), Ch Olearia Golden Touch and Olearia Gold Dust at Tellkas (best in show, Midland Championship Show 2009).
