I am sorry to say that due to various health problems I am having to contend with at the moment I am having to give up breeding our little Westies for at least the foreseeable future and wish all the owners who have bought little Puppies from us in the past all the best with the Westies in the future and if you need any help with them in the future please contact me at any time and if we can help you we will endeavor to do so.
Again many thanks again and good luck with your little Westies!. Alan & Debbie 15/09/2008
Welcome to the CHAMPDOGS site for WEST HI’YORKS Westhighland Terriers, we hope you enjoy your visit. I have owned and bred dogs since my child hood, first caring for my fathers Beagles and Parson Jack Russell terriers, but my first love has always been with my terriers. I owned various terriers until the early seventies when I bought my first Staffordshire bull terrier, which is when I first began to show. But it was in 1979 that things really took hold when I got married to a lady who had the same interest as me in showing and breeding. We purchased a couple of top quality dogs and success at Championship show level followed soon after. From this time to 1995 when unfortunately I had to retired from the showing the dogs myself due to bad health our kennel "Linestaff" had two UK Champions and one international champion with three other stud book entries. We completed in every Championship show in the UK during this time covering many thousands of miles in pursuit of our hobby and I personally had the honor of becoming a Kennel Club Championship Show Judge for the breed. From this time until the late nineties when my wife sadly passed away we managed to make up one more UK Champion and have two more studbook entries. In my time in Staffordshire bull terrier with my first wife we bred ten litters. In the late nineties I bought my first W.H.W.T, I was hooked! Just over five years ago I met and married my second wife Debbie, together we now keep and breed our westies under our new Kennel Club name “West Hi Yorks”. We have so far bred three litters of westies and became “Kennel Club Accredited Breeders” in 2005. These beautiful little terriers have now very much part of our home life living as they do indoors with us and not in outside in kennels. As can be seen I have many years of Terrier breeding and showing experience which we are now putting to good use with our little Westies. All our dogs are home bred and KC registered with breeding for type and temperament and all round health our first concern. All puppies come with a five generation pedigree, Kennel Club Accredited breeders puppy pack containing the KC registration form, Contract of sale, Written care sheet giving advise on feeding, training, socializing and exercising your puppy along with a brief background to the Westhighland white Terrier and its history and a Veterinary data sheet giving a record of your puppies worming and health checks etc up todate. You also get six weeks free insurance along with a bag of pedigree chum complete puppy food and eight pedigree chum puppy meat pouches. All our pups will be both vet checked and micro chipped and fully up to date with their worming before they go to their new homes and of course can offer a life time of support and friendly advise when and if needed. Your enquiry will always be a pleasure. All emails answered within 24Hrs
