We have been involved with showing and breeding several breeds of dogs over the course of 20 years. My first breeds were bulldogs, followed by yorkshire terriers and pugs.

Our dogs are all house dogs and are pets first and foremost, All our dogs are regularly vetchecked and any litters are planned to promote and improve on quality and breed type to conform with the breed standard and to ensure they are good examples of their breed.

Elwin in the photo is a puppy from our first litter out of our bitch Tarragem Lily Langtree for Howenvals and Tarragem Captain Morgan. He has had good results in his shows to date.

TARRAGEM LILY LANGTREE FOR HOWENVALS known to us as Cleo was our first pug, she is a real clown, everybodys friend and outgoing character.

She was was chosen from a litter bred by Margaret and Barry teague of Tarragem pugs. Her father is Tarragem Mr Granville shCM who has had some good success in the show ring.

Yorkshire terriers came into our lives rather by accident........
We had shown bulldogs for several years and had decided to breed our girls to better our line and have some nice puppies for the ring.

Things didnt go to plan and try as we did for four years our girls were not successful at gettting or keeping pregnant. by which time i was very broody so i bought myself a yorkshire terrier puppy bitch. That was the start of our love affair with this enchanting and loyal wonderful breed.

Our Yorkies are all very small averageing between 4 - 6 pound in weight. I try to keep them in full coat when i can but do clip them into a puppy clip for ease some of the time.

I occasionally have a litter, striving to keep within the kennel club breed standard whilst maintaining good health and a sound temperament.

This is one of our previous litters aged eight weeks old.

Yorkie puppies are born very dark in colour their coats gradually develope more tan and change to a steel blue colour over time.

Yorkshire terriers do not moult, they have a single coat which is very much like human hair and if kept long can require considerable grooming and care.
