I originally started out with Bichon Frise, and several years later, thats about 16 years ago got my first Lowchen. Then about 10 years ago my partner bought a pomeranian bitch who I decided to show for a bit of fun.
I gained my one and only title in Lowchens with Ch. Hestia Shady Lady at Sholeen, though I did buy her after she had gained her first ticket. I have only bred 3 litters of lowchens of which their progeny are doing extremely well in the ring. Unfortunately I do not have any Lowchens at the moment.
My main breed now is Pomeranians. As I said we bought a lovely bitch from Oriel Rudd-Orthner, Oriel Temple Fairy Glen whom my partner bred from and we kept a little girl called Sweet Molly Malone who was georgous but unfortunately broke her leg at 5 months and after that only showed very lightly as she hated slippy floors. She was out of Pakov's I am the Poseur who also hated the slippy floor thing. Molly produced a cream girl called Degsy Style Star and since then have never looked back. Style Star was mated to Ch Pakov's Mack The Knife and have 5 girls and 2 boy in the ring who are doing very nicely, especially Ch. Degsy Starman at Pakov (owned by Astrid Ogilvie)who has got 5CC's & 8 rcc's, 2 Best Puppy in Breed at Champ show, 2 Best Puppy in show, 2 Reserve Best Puppy in Show 8 Reserve Best in show and 4 Best in Shows, including Best in Show at The Scottish Pomeranian Club Championship Show in May 2010, and also his junior warrant. Degsy Sarstruck at Carberry and Degsy Star Attraction at Carberry (owned by Miss Catherine McDowall) are doing well at both open and Champ shows and Degsy Dream Lover (owned by Mrs Muriel Sneddon). Degsy Pipe Dream owned by Dorothy Hilliker is also being lightly shown. My own Degsys High Spirits and Double Take are also enjoying the show ring.
Degsy High Spirits had a litter to Pakov's gold chip and her daughter Degsy Star Turn is now being shown and has already qualified for crufts 2012.
I have bought in a beautiful little red pom pup from Ms Ogilvie, a half sister to Star Turn called Pakovs take it as red for Degsy who has just started her show career and has also qualified for Crufts 2012.
