Douglas was imported into England by us in November 2004. We had become disillusioned with the lack of size and substance of bullmastiffs in general and have tried to do something about it.

Douggie has sired Champions and group winning dogs. He is consistently giving size, substance and his wonderful personality to his progeny.

See his son below.

Whilst we are successful in the show ring our dogs are pets first and foremost and their health, happiness and welfare always comes first.

Many people are surprised to learn that our bullmastiffs generally live until they are twelve or thirteen, this is probably because all our spare time is dedicated to them and our own needs come an extremely poor second!

Copperfield Bullmastiffs was founded in 1947 by Gerald Warren and is the oldest surviving bullmastiff kennel in the world.

The kennel was handed over to Bill Warren by his parents and is now in the safe hands of both Bill and his partner Vikki and 12 bullmastiffs.

Copperfield has continued to run successfully for the past sixty years. We have produced over fifty champions world-wide and our dogs have formed the basis for many of today's most successful kennels.

Bullmastiffs are a way of life for us but they are not our business. We only have one or two litters each year and breed quality dogs for our own pleasure, not just to keep up with current trends.
