Major (Otterscroft Gruinard ) was a direct son of Sh Ch Jobeka Jasper of Nortonwood. He came to us in January, 1990 and from the word "Go!" he went everywhere with us. Here he is on holiday with us in Cambridgeshire.
Major had a wonderful life and was much travelled.
He will always remain very close to our hearts.

In 1994 we were delighted that we came to own Beamsley Becky - Tara , sired by Ch. Bramhills Pied Piper of Almerak. She was a grand daughter of Sh Ch Jobeka Jasper of Nortonwood : a beautiful puppy adored by us and a soul mate for Major.
She was as a pretty as a picture and as bright as a button: always eager to please. One of her favourite occupations was chasing squirrels. Many times she out ran them with dire consequences for the squirrel ! We miss her very much and will always remember her with the greatest of fondness. She was a "Star."

When Major was 10 and Tara 7 years old. Winston joined us as a beautiful 7 weeks old puppy. He is a son of Sh Ch Elswood the Highlander (who was sired by Jobeka Jasper of Nortonwood,) and came to us from the Gartraith Kennel in Yorkshire.
From the start he loved the car and soon came to realise that it meant wonderful outings.
Today he always sits up in the car and knows every park or "walkie" place within a radius of 40 miles. We laughingly say that he is "map making" again because he becomes very verbal if we dare to pass his favourite spots.
Gartraith Gentian Image at Gentiana (Genny) also came from the Gartraith Kennel: she is very pretty indeed and has a mischievous sense of humour. If anything quietly goes missing you can usually find it in Genny's mouth.

We are Founder Members of the KC Accredited Breeder Scheme: Our business commitments have kept us from the show and breeding scene until our retirement.
We presently have seven "goldens" including our foundation breeding stock: Mitcharron Memphis Mist for Gentiana (Shiana) aged 3 years and Abnalls Summer Dawn for Gentiana (Clementina) will be 3 in August.
Both lovely girls have been showing and have been doing very nicely. Detailed show results can be viewed on our own website www.gentiana.co.uk

Mitcharron River Phoenix for Gentiana (Alexander) who has just turned 2 years old on 5th July and is a very lively, extremely intelligent, and very affectionate boy. He gained 1st in the Junior class at Penrith & District C.S. on 13th October 2007 & 3rd in Breed Graduate Class in January 2008 at Stoke on Trent & District Gundog Club. Shiana, Clementina and Alexander have certificates of DNA profiling. Alexander is at stud to approved bitches and fertility certified March 2008.
Gentiana Golden Prudence and Gentiana Golden Primrose are our two girls from Clementina's litter of last summer. They are very pretty girls and so alike. They are just over 12 months old. They both have clear eye certificates.
All our dogs have their Pet Passports and have travelled with us to France. If anyone would like advice on taking their dog(s) onto the Continent we would be pleased to give any advice we can.
