i am exhibitor of bichon fise and i ocassionally breed a litter if i want to keep a puppy back for showing. All my dogs live indoors and are very much part of our family. I breed for type and temperment.
I always eye test my breeding stock prioe to any matings as catarracts are becoming very common in the breed and it is a very expensive operation to have.
