Ch Carresmar Legend was BEST OF BREED at CRUFTS in 1985. He died the following year just before his seventh birthday. He left a great void in the Carresmar household but fortunately his line has been carried on through his progeny. His daughter, Carresmar Lookatme JW (2 RCCs), produced Ch Carresmar Lindsay in her only litter by the all time great Ch Lodway Lancer of Islwyn. Our present Basset Hounds are all descended from him.

Son of the great Ch Lodway Lancer of Islwyn (52CCs) and grandson of Ch Carresmar Legend and Ch Langpool Carries Lad of Islwyn, he had a spectacular show career. He is the grandsire of Carresmar Lady Justine, pictured below.

This lovely bitch was a born showgirl. She had many excellent wins to her credit including Best in Show at open show level and on two occasions won large bitch classes at Crufts. Although her appearances at shows were rare in the last few years, she was Best Veteran Bitch at the South of England Basset Hound Club open show (Feb 2006), Best Veteran In Show at the Basset Hound Club championship show (June 2006) and Best Veteran Basset Hound at Richmond championship show (Sept 2006). She gave me so much pleasure and is greatly missed.

Joseph's sire is the Danish import Ch Morkeberg's It's Now Or Never At Balmacara and his dam is Carresmar Linda Lovely (1CC 1RCC), litter sister to Justine. He has the most wonderful temperament. Though not shown now, he had many excellent wins at Ch and Open shows.

I am a 'hobby breeder' and usually breed only every two years or so because I want a puppy for myself. My puppies are reared in the house and sold as companion puppies and not for breeding. The Kennel Club Registrations carry endorsements.
Our showing is very limited now but in the past we have had some excellent wins with our hounds.
