Dallas has a wonderful personality. She clearly thinks she is special and hence at home she is known as 'Princess'. Dallas wasn't shown until she was 17 months but qualified for Crufts in her first show season and has improved on her 2004 show performance in 2005 taking 1st in Postgraduate Bitch at the German Shorthaired Pointer Club Championship Show under Ian Grant as well as gaining 2nd and 3rd placings at other Championship shows during the year.

This is Holly, as you can see from this photo, she does not consider herself to be of the canine species!! She has a wonderful character and although she has not been trained for working she displays the natural ability bred into GSPs and enjoys pointing and flushing pheasant when we are out in the fields

Brooke and Kobi are the latest additons to our kennel. They are litter brother and sister sired by Winterwell Benjamin Bunny at Ladyhawke [Zak] out of Sireva Burn at Ladyhawke [Dallas], pictured here at 5 months they will be making their show debut in July 2008. |
We are a small kennel situated just outside the village of Whitley in North Yorkshire.
Our home is called Wood View and as the name suggests the area surrounding our house is peppered with fields and woodland. Our Affix is taken from one of these, Ladyhawke Wood.
We have owned a variety of dogs since our childhood but have shared our lives with Hunt Point and Retrieve breeds for the last 16 years; our first experience of HPRs was when we acquired our first Weimaraner in 1991, shortly followed by another in 1992. Sadly we lost our Weimaraner bitch suddenly at the end of 2001.
We had admired and researched the German Shorthaired Pointer breed for many years, and in early 2002 we bought our first GSP, Gleadsbury Rising Star over Ladyhawke [Holly] and we can honestly say our lives have never been the same since!!
Our GSPs are first and foremost well loved members of our family, showing them is a hobby and success in the show ring is a bonus. |
