We have been in the company of dogs for over 25 years. We started in dogs with German Shepherds which we trained at obedience to a high level winning many, many awards for all their hard work (and ours I hasten to add) we now own Great Danes and West highland white terriers All Our Dogs are much loved members of our family and their well being is our utmost priority We welcomed our first Great Dane into our home 4 years ago and have been hooked ever since Our first purchase of a Great Dane was Amber a Fawn she was then and still is a joy to live with as she is a true 'gentle giant’ but always full of mischief, Amber taught us at a very young age that Danes are a stubborn breed and very clumsy to say the least.
Our second Dane was to be a Harlequin, totally different from Amber in every way, not so stubborn but ten times the energy of Amber and wants to be with human company all the time if you let her, she .loves nothing better then running every where rather then walking and loves to play on the beach chasing waves and kicking shells every where.
We have West Highland White Terriers which are absolutely full of character the Dane soon caught on that the Westies will out run them every opportunity they get. Our Westies love to jump in puddles up to their middles and are quite happy walking home full of mud with a smile on their faces (much too undignified for the Danes) plus it would have to be a big puddle to come up to a Danes middle !! But they all have fun in their own ways.
We occasionally have litters of pups and would welcome any inquires from people who are dedicated to giving a puppy a loving caring home for life. Although Amber has had a very successful show career we prefer to sell our pups to people who will love the dog as a pet. It is of the utmost importance that our puppies go off to what we consider to be the 'right home.' Before you consider purchasing any puppy, please bare in mind that a dog is a huge commitment. Whether being a large or small breed they require dedication, love and attention, good feeding and exercise things that will not go unrewarded as your puppy repays you in faith and companionship. But please make your decision carefully...puppies are hard work and can be costly...please ensure you have the capability to handle all eventualities
