roughtrade

Pauul Gay and Ian Chessum run under the kennel name “Roughtrade”. We have been together since March 2002 with Pauul already having a couple of Affenpinschers (Lexx and her daughter Lilly) as well as Gracie a Tibetan Terrier puppy. At the end of 2002 we acquired another Affenpinscher Cybil and finally at the end of 2003 a black Pug called Diva.

This was our family at the beginning of 2004 with Piper (Cybil’s brother) staying with family before being rehomed early in the year. Lexx was also rehomed but within the family unit as she preferred a quieter life than the madhouse that was to come.

Lilly and Gracie were mated before moving and we moved into our new house starting on building work on the bedrooms and garden, This was finished the day before Gracie had her eight puppies (three boys and five girls) and two days after her Lilly had her three girl puppies by emergency ceasarian.

We decided to keep all of the Affenpinscher puppies for showing, as Lilly had failed to take in her previous four matings, but to find home for all of Gracies. unfortunately (or fortunately) the pick bitch of Gracies litter was returned to us after one night so we decided to keep her.

Dizzy has now gone to be with her uncle in a new home

We kept Madison from from Gracie's latest litter.

So welcome to the Roughtrade madhouse as all our friends think we are mad with our six dogs.
