Abot has had a really wonderful time in and out of the show ring. The pinnacle of Abots showing career so far was winning the Top winning Labrador for 2005 following his preceding win as
Best Puppy In Breed at Crufts in 2002 under Erica Jayes (dogs) and Les Brabban (bitches)
He went on achieving lots of 1st at shows and ultimately becoming a Show Champion at the age of 16 1/2 months.
In 2005 He became a full Champion by gaining his Show Gun Working Certificate. This was achieved the day before winning
a Challenge Certificate with Best of Breed at LKA which won him the honour as top Labrador for 2005.
He is the proud Sire of this years Crufts CC and BOB winner Sh.Ch.Suttonpark Manifesto JW.


Ch. Saranden Saboteur has won the CC and BOB again for the second year running at Ladies Kennel Association. Judge Mrs Brenda Taylor

Minnie is the current youngster at Saranden Labradors, and although she is very active she does concentrate in the ring
on her handler. Her excess energy is put to good use at gundog training where speed is of better use!

Slik is an offspring of Abot. She has done well at open and championship shows. She won a Puppy Group 3 at National Gundog Association Championship Show.
She gained her Junior Warrant at 11 months.
At 15 months she passed her Show Gun Working Certificate. This was on the same day as Abot passed his.
She has passed her Bronze and Silver Good Citizens Award.

We have just moved to Gedney Hill, a small village about 15 miles east of Peterborough


We started breeding Labradors in 1985. Our first Labrador was a dog called Shrubbins Behe'moth who was by Cornlands Black Joker.
We had a lot of fun showing him locally and this gave us the incentive to keep showing and going forward to try and establish our own kennel.

In 2002, our first champion was made up. In 2005, he became a full champion and Top Labrador for the year by winning 5 Challenge Certificates, 3 with Best Of Breed.

'Sebastian Billy'... who was by Richfield Perrier of Cornlands.

'Sandy Stone'... who was by Trenow Music Man.

'Sweet Marjaram of Saranden'... who was by Rocheby Royal Blue of Cornlands.

'Roydwood Right Time for Saranden'... who was by Ch. Sandylands My Guy.

We breed for type and temperament and aim to gain Show Gun Working Certificates with suitable dogs.
