Maldavale

Maldavale Angelique (Angie) was our foundation bitch. She was born April 1984, and produced Champion Maldavale Foxy Lady at Bedingfield (best of breed at Crufts), Champion Maldavale Angelica at Trollstone (Res CC at Crufts), and Finnish and Estonian Champion Maldavale Mighty Seagram, who is the sire of Int & Multi Ch. WW-99 Cemballen's Rockahula Baby.

She is the grandmother of other champions, including Champion Maldavale Wild Angel, and Champion Maldavale Madonna at Trollstone. She was Dog World top brood bitch for almost three years running.

She died age 12

Maldavale Eternal Angel (Angel) (d.b. 28/3/98) is Angelique's great grand-daughter. In 1998/99 she had many top puppy awards, best of breed awards, best of breed at Southern Counties Championship Show, beating the best dog (her Dad) - our Highly Spiced for Novadene. She also was best in show at four open shows, including the South Western Poodle Club. She was first Limit Bitch at Driffield Championship Show, so is now in the stud book. She was at Crufts this year, getting 3rd in Limit Bitch and herDad was reserve Limit Dog.

On 20th February this year (2000) she won the heat of Pro Dog Stakes under judge, Andrew Brace. She was best in show at the Eastern Counties Poodle Club. She has also had many best of breed awards in open shows attended so far this year, getting 1sts, 2nds and 3rds in the utility group. She was 2nd in limit at the IPC Championship show, and was given the Reserve CC. Since then she has had 6 1sts in Limit Bitch at Championship Shows, one of them being at the Northumbria Poodle Club where she got her first CC. She was placed in the final 5 at Pro Dogs this year also, under judge Claire Coxall.
ON SEPTEMBER 14TH 2001 ANGEL GAVE BIRTH TO FOUR BABIES. Out of this litter we kept Maldavale Macdonald and Maldavale Michelle. See their details on our web page.

Highly Spiced for Novadene (d.b.21/12/94) Calvin is a beautiful dog we have always been proud to own. He has never let us down in the ring and is like a best friend at home. As a puppy he won best puppy awards both at championship and open shows, won his heat at Dog World pup of the year, has a reserve CC and although not a champion (yet!) he will always be a champion in our eyes. He is at stud to approved bitches, is currently PRA clear, and his babies have been gorgeous, including Maldavale Wild Thing, (now in the States), and Maldavale Eternal Angel (above) and others shortly to be in the ring.
Since writing the above his 6 month old son, Maldavale Calvins Clone (Billy) was 2nd at his first Championship Show - qualifying for Crufts. One of his daughters owned by a friend was best puppy and best of breed at BUBA open show. He is now retired from showing.

He has sired our very latest show girl, Maldavale Monique, who qualified for Crufts at her very first show at Driffield Championship Show on 14th October age 6 months. Her picture is on our website.

Maldavale Son of Lord (Boysie) (d.b. 14/05/91) - there is not enough room to say what we would like to say about Boysie. He has always been a dog we are so glad we kept. He was offerred a top kennel home in Australia - just after, at 10 months, he had won best puppy, best of breed, reserve best in show and best puppy in show under foreign judges at the last Hammersmith Show, but we could not let him go. His litter sister is the mother of a beautiful champion. As a puppy he also won numerous top awards and also as an adult. He has the most gentle nature and is the sire of many top winners. Now a veteran - he still has great colour, is PRA currently clear, and sits at home looking like a king in the armchair! Up to date he is now nearly 16 years old!
