Nightjades Dreamer at Yeovale

Troy is our handsome medium size stud dog of excellent conformation, he is absolutely sound, has correct dentition and the most super laid back temperament, being clever and quick to learn. He adores people, especially our grandchildren.

He is the perfect stud dog, being very gentle with his girls.

He produces quality puppies with plenty of bone, superb heads, profuse coats, feathering and real extrovert characters.
His hipscore total is 9 and he holds a clear eye certificate.

He is available at stud so please do not hesitate to contact us for any information.

This lovely boy is so much like his Dad (Troy). He was one of our last homebred puppies and his Mum is our homebred Ellie.(Doddridge Ellie Tahari)hip score total 10 and clear eye certificate
We hope to have another stunning litter just like this from Troy and our homebred Laurel (Doddridge Justa Dream) at the end of the summer.Laurel is a beautiful bitch with a really soppy temperament. She just loves to be loved and as she is a combination of show/working lines,it means you have beautiful, intelligent puppies.
Our main considerations when planning a litter is health and temperament as we like to think any puppy we may sell will live a long and happy life with its family.
If you are considering a new puppy at the end of the year and would like a chat please call me on 01363 777087 or email familybarnes@aol.com

Libby and Charles are my pride and joy. They are from my second litter of whippets and in their first 6 months in the showring they have certainly exceeded all my expectations. They finished the year by winning Best Dog Puppy in Breed and Best Bitch Puppy in Breed at Weston-Super-Mare Open Show on Dec 30th 07.This being their last puppy classes,so along with their many other wins during the year it was a wonderful way to end their puppy career.Qualifying for Crufts on their first outing at Paignton Championship show was absolutely amazing, but its not just the showing and the winning as they mean far more than that,I just love them for their great personality and devotion.
Thank you to everyone for their congratulations, lovely comments and encouragement.Especially the judges who have thought so highly of them.
They have made a great start to 2008 as at Plymouth Open show Charles won Novice whippet and at Ilfracombe Open show,Libby won whippet Junior bitch and Charles graduate dog and Best of Breed.Thank you to the judge Mr.A.Swannell.

I have now found what I beleive to be a really good husband for Libby and Charles,s Mum,Chyna. He is a very handsome boy from the Irish Barnesmore kennels.
His sire is IR/IT/SWE CH Barnesmore Galileo and his dam IR CH Barnesmore Black Orchid
His litter sister is IR CH Barnesmore Bejaysus

So as you can see he is impeccably bred so if all goes to plan we will have a litter available at the end of the year. There could be one or two available to the best loving homes only.

SOME BACKGROUND

I have been breeding dogs for 35yrs and began in the seventies under my old affix of “Marcrest”

I started when I was 12yrs old with a neighbour’s German Shepherd. Having been given a German Shepherd puppy for my birthday I was hooked!!

I bred my first litter when I was 16 and had my first judging appointment when I was 19. I decided I wanted another breed as well as the Shepherds, so in 1974, acquired my first American Cocker bitch.

I went on to show and breed American’s for many years. I then decided to have a complete change and bought my first Golden Retriever. By this time I had retired from the show scene but still had an interest in breeding.

Under my Doddridge affix I now own 6 Golden Retrievers and occasionally have puppies for sale - but only to the best, loving homes.

When planning a litter, my main priorities are health and temperament. All my dogs are family dogs first and foremost, bred with good hip scores and we pride ourselves on all our dogs hipscores being under 10 and clear eye certificates for generations, and, they have the most wonderful temperaments.

Thank you for looking at my pages. If you need any further information, please get in touch.
