My name is Sonja Cafferata and this is the page for the Foxbriar Kennel. Actually Foxbriar is not a kennel as the dogs all live in the house with the family, and are waited on hand and foot and probably a little bit spoiled.

I have always loved dogs and have had dogs for about 20 years now. Originally they were just pets but as my interest has grown I have dabbled with breed showing and also compete in agility and obedience. I love training my dogs and all the dogs have a minimum of the KC Good citizens Bronze Award. with Casey and Lily having the gold and Ruby her silver.

My first dogs were cross breeds and GSDs but after my last GSD died having suffered all his life with stomach and hip problems, I wanted a change. I had known several Malinois and I liked the fact that they tend to be much more healthy than the present GSD so when I got the chance to see a litter of Malinois puppies bred by Betty Duffus I jumped at it and Casey (Gwashleas Rob Roy) came home with me.

A couple of years later came Amber over from France and in 2005 we bred our first litter from Amber and Casey. There was only one little bitch in this litter so the choice was easy. Ruby was staying.
Ruby is a very pretty girl but does not like breed showing much. Preferring more active pursuits such as Obedience and Agility. She has now been competing in agility for 2 years and has won into grade 2.

Ruby did take summer 2009 off from her agility to produce her litter to Bandit. (Gwashleas Regency Bandit) She had 9 puppies. all settled well into their new homes with one little girl Lily staying here with us.

Lily has won well in breed as a puppy and is following her mothers footsteps and now doing agility. She is just old enough to compete and has already been placed in several shows.

A few years ago I made a new friend who had Boston Terriers. I had never been interested in having a small dog, but I really likes her little dogs. I thought they would be great fun to do agility with, so when I saw a litter advertised nearby just went to take a look. Of course it was inevitable that I came home with the bitch puppy that was available. Daisy. She has been a great introduction to the breed. Not really a show girl although she has won a few classes, but Daisy really loves her agility and is regularly placed.

Soon after I got Daisy my friend had a few personal problems and so I took one of her Bostons to stayhere for a while. When she was here Darcy had her first litter to a lovely dog called Tex. (Jayrock Talking Texas). The boy puppy was supposed to go to a new home but due to a last minute cancellation he stayed here and I am so glad he did as he is a super little dog. Everyone who visits falls in love with him.

Milo does breed showing and also agility. Winning well in breed and showing a lot of promise for his agility
