We are a small kennels based near Dartmoor in the beautiful Devon countryside.We have been breeding the occasional (mainly Chocolate) Labrador litter for 12 years, and the Cockers for 7 years, aiming towards the working ability rather than show. We have 4 generations still at home (including Meg our first Labrador now 14 years old) Lulu, in the picture has a Chocolate mum and carries the Chocolate gene. She is 8 years old now, so has retired from maternal duties. Mommet, Lulu's Chocolate daughter has been hip tested and has a good score of 3/5. She has had a lovely litter last year.Jonnick her black brother has also been tested and has a good score of 3/3. he is a beautiful dog and will now hopefully be used at stud.We have been working the younger dogs on several commercial shoots for 8 years , picking up with the Labradors and beating and picking up with the Cockers . We have 3 generations of cockers, Teal being the oldest at 10. all are chocolate in colour and are working dogs.Tina has competed a bit in agility with one of the Labs and one of the Cockers, but the labrador (Poppy) is retired now as she is 12 years old. One of the Cockers has obtained working test awards and the youngest cocker is showing great promise. Tina is qualified in Canine studies and is a trainer at the local obedience classes. We are pleased to add that Mommet has achieved Silver and Fiya has achieved Gold in the Good Citizens Award Scheme.
