Josh Parry

Having owned pets from an early age, I have always had a keen interest in animals. Although I have kept tortoises, fish, hamsters and even stick insects, my main passion has always been dogs.

As a family, we have owned a wide range of breeds and cross-breeds. In 2011, I was lucky enough to get my first ‘own’ dog, a German Shepherd puppy who we called Nando, he is a bit of a handful at times, and definitely a massive change from the cairn terrier cross we owned before him, however we’d all be lost without him.

As well as dogs, for the past ten years I have also kept and bred tortoises, as well as running a website dedicated to information on caring for tortoises and finding tortoises in need a new home.

I have recently graduated from a degree in International Journalism, and am chasing a career in journalism. As part of my degree I created an e-magazine for dog owners and this had made me realise that in the future I would like to chase a career in writing for canine publications. Currently, I work for a local paper as a Community Reporter as well as running my own mobile pet micro chipping business.
